The Chinese Journal of Cancer Prevention & Treatment (CJCPT) is committed to maintaining transparency, objectivity, and integrity throughout the publication process. All participants involved in the submission, review, and editorial management of manuscripts are expected to disclose any relationships or interests that could influence, or be perceived to influence, their professional judgment.

Disclosure by Authors

Authors must disclose all financial and non-financial conflicts of interest that are directly or indirectly related to the submitted work. Potential conflicts may include, but are not limited to:

• Employment or consultancy.
• Research grants or funding.
• Honoraria or speaker fees.
• Stock ownership or investment interests.
• Patents or intellectual property rights.
• Personal, academic, or professional relationships that could affect the interpretation of the research.

If no conflicts of interest exist, authors should include the following statement in the manuscript:

"The authors declare that they have no conflict of interest."

Responsibilities of Reviewers

Reviewers should disclose any actual, potential, or perceived conflict of interest before accepting a review assignment. A reviewer should decline the invitation if impartial evaluation cannot be ensured due to financial, professional, institutional, collaborative, or personal relationships with the authors or the research.

Reviewers must not use unpublished information obtained through the peer review process for personal, academic, or commercial benefit.

Responsibilities of Editors

Editors are required to evaluate manuscripts solely on their scientific quality and ethical merit. Editors who have a conflict of interest with a submitted manuscript—including collaborative relationships, institutional affiliations, financial interests, or personal relationships with the authors—must withdraw from the editorial process and delegate editorial responsibility to another qualified editor.

Funding Transparency

Authors must identify all sources of financial support for the research and describe the role of the funding organization, if any, in the study design, data collection, analysis, interpretation, manuscript preparation, or publication decision. If the funding body had no involvement in the research process, this should be clearly stated.

Editorial Assessment

The Editorial Office may request additional information whenever a declared or suspected conflict of interest requires clarification. Failure to disclose relevant competing interests may result in editorial action, including manuscript rejection, publication of a correction, or retraction where appropriate.

Ethical Standards

The journal manages competing interests in accordance with the ethical principles of transparency, fairness, and accountability. Potential conflicts are assessed during editorial evaluation to ensure that publication decisions remain independent and free from inappropriate influence.

Compliance with International Standards

CJCPT follows the recommendations of the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE) regarding disclosure of competing interests and the ethical guidance of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) for the management of conflicts of interest in scholarly publishing.

This policy is subject to periodic review to reflect updates in international publication ethics and best editorial practices. Authors, reviewers, and editors are encouraged to consult the latest version of this policy before participating in the publication process.
